What are the results of Rahu in the sign of Leo in the 6th house in Vedic Astrology?
Home : Astrology: You are here
People with Rahu in the 12th house (just opposite to 6th house) don't want to compete and fight and are dominated by escapism. However, this is not the case with the Rahu in the 6th house people. These people are extremely competitive and hardworking or it may be their life's situation is such that they have to compete, argue and fight to win (for example, lawyers). That is the reason Rahu does very well in the 6th house.
Sign of Leo falls on the 6th house for a Pisces Ascendant only. To know what exactly your life will be if Rahu is in the sign of Leo in the 6th house will depend a lot on the position of Sun (as it is the ruler of Leo where Rahu is placed) and also the position of the mercury (original ruler of the 6th house).
Considering Rahu in the sign of Leo in 6th house, if mercury is located in the 7th house (in the sign of Virgo) and Sun is placed in the sign of Libra (debilitated Sun) in the 8th house along with Jupiter (Ascendant lord) then your life could be all about playing Chess or involving yourself in different types of Quiz programs. These may be your professions as Rahu is pretty much your life's mission and Leo sign is all about games and sports and general knowledge.
Here you may think that the Sun in the sign of Libra is debilitated but it is actually not if the degree of Rahu is high. This is because Rahu amplifies the sign and its lord where it sits and so the debilitation of the Sun becomes a normal Sun by its amplification by Rahu. I have written more about it in the article > why is Rahu both good and bad.
Mercury in the sign of Virgo in the 7th house means the person is doing complex things in mind to balance out something (as 7th house is all about balancing or resolving complex problems of 6th house). In the game of chess and in quizzes you really are solving complex problems (an act of 7th house). Sun in the sign of Libra in 8th house means your identity is of someone who balances out things in sudden ups and downs situations (which is what 8th house represent). All the games and sports do have sudden ups and downs.
Also, since the ascendant lord Jupiter is placed in the 8th house the whole purpose of your life is to deal with the sudden ups and downs issues or research as Jupiter is all about using your wisdom, knowledge, and discretion if it is the Ascendant.
This was just an example. There could be a lot of permutations and combinations in the birth chart and you need to utilize your intuition power to exactly pinpoint and then predict.
Considering Rahu is in the sign of Leo in the 6th house you could even be a lawyer if mercury is in the sign of Scorpio in the 9th house with Jupiter in the sign of Pisces in the first house and if Sun and Mars are located in the 10th house.
Leo sign on the 6th house is all about arguments (6th house is arguments) related to things that the Sun represents. Sun or Leo is not all about fun and entertainment (including sports) but the Sun is also the source of all the knowledge of the world and Sun is also the representation of the truth (as Leo is a fire sign and fire represents honesty) and top positions and winning. So Rahu in the sign of Leo could also mean to fight (as 6th house represents fights and arguments) for the truth and since Sun is placed in the 10th house it gives the identity (as the sun is identity) of an authoritative person. 9th house is law and so the 10th house is the authority in the things of the 9th house as any house in Vedic astrology is always the gain of its previous house. So Sun in the 10th house means having authority in law and so the representation of being a lawyer with this placement. Also, mercury in the 9th house in the sign of Scorpio means digging deep (representation of 8th house) into the rules and regulations of the courts (as 9th house represents law as Jupiter rules the 9th house).
