What if Sun is in 7th house for Sagittarius ascendant? (Vedic Astrology)

There are several possibilities with this placement and here are some of them.

1) Sun represents the father of the native of the birth chart and the 7th house is the house of relationships, marriage, and business partnership. So here the father of the native could interfere in the marriage or love relationships of the native due to some religion or caste issues.

It may be that the native wants to marry a girl of different religion or caste and the father of the native may oppose it. In other words, this placement could result in marrying someone who is from a different religion or caste as it could be a love marriage. This is because 9th house is the house of religion and culture.

2) With this placement, the native could also become a Lawyer as the 7th house is also the house of resolving disputes, and also Sun rules the 9th house of law. But this is more so possible if the ascendant lord, Jupiter, is placed in the 6th house in the sign of Taurus and if 6th lord Venus is placed in the 7th house along with Sun. Also, 5th lord Mars should be placed in the 9th house in the sign of Leo.

The sign on the 1st house or the ascendant lord itself tells the purpose of life and for a Sagittarius ascendant the purpose of life is mainly law, rules, and regulations as the sign of Sagittarius represents all these things and this sign falls on their ascendant.

But it is not always so that this placement would give the profession of a Lawyer but in this chart, the other planets are supportive of that. For example, 5th lord, Mars, is placed in the 9th house which shows the education of the native could be related to law as 5th house is education and 9th house is law and 5th lord, Sun, is also placed in the 7th house of resolving disputes.

Also, if you see his Saturn is placed in the 8th house and 8th house is the house of research and investigation and Lawyers often do that in order to gather evidence in support of the case. Also, his 8th lord, Moon, is placed in the sign of Scorpio in the 12th house and Scorpio is again a sign of research and investigation and since Jupiter, default ruler of 12th house is placed in the 6th house it shows the research is related to disputes and court cases as 6th house represent that.

But Sun in the 7th house is not considered good for married life if there is no any aspect of Jupiter on the 7th house as Sun gets debilitated in the sign of Libra or the 7th house.
