An example chart for prediction of marriage - Vedic Astrology

Mercury anterdasha: 22 aug 2016 to 17 jan 2019

Ketu Anterdasha: 17 jan 2019 to 14 jan 2020

Venus anterdasha: 14 jan 2020 to 16 nov 2022

Sun anterdasha: 16 nov 2022 to 22 sept 2023

Now, first of all, we should always check whether Mahadasha lord is favourable for marriage or not? You can see she is running Mahadasha of Mercury and in her Aquarius ascendant chart Mercury rules the 5th house and the 8th house and placed in the 2nd house in the sign of Pisces. Remember 2nd house is always good for marriage as 2nd house represents native's spouse and 7th house represents a relationship, partnership, and marriage.

Also, if you see Mahadasha lord, Mercury, is placed in the sign of Pisces and the lord of Pisces, Jupiter, is placed in the 7th house of marriage. So this gives clear indication that Mahadasha lord is favourable for marriage.

Also, you should always remember that anterdasha of Ketu and Venus is always considered good for marriage as Ketu represents the religious activities of the marriage and Venus is the natural significator (karka) of marriage. But she didn't get married in the anterdasha of Ketu and that was quite obvious as her Ketu is placed in the 5th house and there is no aspect of Ketu on Venus or 7th house or 2nd house.

Now let's see if her Venus anterdasha is favourable for marriage or not. Venus is the natural significator of marriage and so atleast it gives an indication of possibility of marriage. Also, if you see Venus is conjuncting Sun and Sun is the 7th lord of marriage and also Venus is placed in the sign of Aries whose lord, Mars, is placed in the 2nd house which is also a favourable house for marriage and also Mars is conjuncting Mercury and Mercury is Mahadasha lord and so here in a way it is making Venus Anterdasha extremely favourable for marriage.

Also, you can see Jupiter is aspecting Venus from the 7th house of marriage through its 9th aspect and Rahu from 11th house is also aspecting Venus through it's 5th aspect. All these scenarios are making Venus Anterdasha quite favourable for marriage.

Now coming to transits, right now, as on 9 aug 2020, Jupiter is transiting the sign of Sagittarius in the 9th house for an Aquarius ascendant and from there it will give aspect to 3rd house where Venus and 7th lord Sun are placed. Also, Jupiter will give it's 9th aspect to the 7th house of marriage. So here we can say transiting Jupiter is extremely favourable for giving marriage as Jupiter is giving aspect to Venus.

Now coming to the transit of Rahu, as on 9 aug 2020, Rahu is transiting the sign of Gemini and so it will transit the 5th house for an Aquarius ascendant and from this position Rahu, in transit, will aspect the 9th house (through its 5th aspect) where the sign of Libra falls and Libra is again a sign of marriage and 9th house is also the house of religious activities for the marriage and so here transit of Rahu is also quite favourable for marriage. Also, Rahu from the 5th house will aspect the 1st house and so involvement of the physical self is also happening as 1st house represents the native herself.

Now coming to the transit of Saturn, right now, as on 9 aug 2020, Saturn is transiting the sign of Capricorn and so it will transit the 12th house for an Aquarius ascendant and from there Saturn will give aspect to 2nd house, 6th house, and the 9th house. Saturn's aspect on 2nd house is always good for marriage and here Saturn is also aspecting Mars and Mars is DK (darakarka) for this native and DK represents spouse. Also, Saturn's aspect (10th aspect) on the 9th house is good for marriage here as the aspect is falling on the sign of Libra whose ruler is Venus and Venus is the natural significator of marriage. Also, 9th house is the house of religious activities for marriage. So here we can say all the three major planets in transit (Rahu, Saturn, and Jupiter) and dashas are extremely favourable for engagement but not marriage as marriage is more likely to happen in the month of November 2020 or Jan-Feb 2021 as marriages usually don't happen in the month of August.

In the month of November 2020, Rahu will transit the sign of Taurus and Jupiter will transit the sign of Capricorn and they both will again be favourable for marriage as Rahu in Taurus will be in the sign of Venus and Venus is the natural significator of marriage and Jupiter will transit the 12th house and from there it will aspect the 4th house where the sign of Taurus falls and so again good for marriage. So this how you can predict marriage in a given birth chart.
