What if Jupiter is in 2nd house for Leo ascendant? (Vedic Astrology)

Go back to Jupiter in different houses for Leo ascendant

This article is also valid for > 5th lord and 8th lord in 2nd house for Leo Ascendant

Jupiter will fall in the sign of Virgo when placed in the 2nd house for a Leo ascendant. There are several possibilities with this placement and here are some of them.

1) If you are a girl or woman then you may get into disputes or arguments with your husband or boyfriend with this placement of Jupiter in the 2nd house in the sign of Virgo as Jupiter represents the husband in a woman's chart and Virgo is a sign of disputes, fights, and arguments. There could also be legal issues related to finances or money as Jupiter is law and 2nd house is the house of finances. Sometimes this placement also results in a divorce if other planets are also not well placed in the chart such as malefics in the 7th house or aspecting the 7th house.

2) With this placement, the higher education of the native could suffer because Jupiter is a planet of higher education and Virgo is a sign of difficulties which means difficulties in higher education and that is the reason mostly such people do business or some household work (if it is a chart of a woman or a girl) but that is not always so and a lot will depend on the position of Mercury, lord of Virgo, and other planets in the birth chart. See an example in the no.3 content below.

3) For a Leo ascendant, Jupiter controls the 5th house of light and heat as the 5th house is ruled by Sun in the default zodiac and the Sun represents heat, light, and electricity. And so a Leo ascendant could have their higher education (as Jupiter is higher education and Jupiter controls the 5th house) related to electronics and electrical engineering as light, heat, and electricity is involved in electronics and electrical engineering.

Now when the 5th lord, Jupiter, is placed in the sign of Virgo in the 2nd house it could mean difficult work (as Virgo is a sign of difficulties or work) or practical work related to engineering and so this placement of Jupiter in the 2nd house in the sign of Virgo could also produce an electronics or electrical engineer provided Sun and Mercury are also placed in the 2nd house or the 6th house. But again other planets in the birth chart need to support.

4) For a Leo ascendant, Jupiter also controls the 8th house through the sign of Pisces and Pisces is a sign that represents the space or marine and so now when the 8th lord Jupiter is placed in the sign of Virgo in the 2nd house then some difficult work (physical work- as Virgo is a sign of work or difficulties) related to marine or Outerspace is also possible with this placement especially if planets like Sun, Mercury, or Saturn are placed in the sign of Pisces in the 8th house. Aerospace and marine engineering are good examples of that.

If Mars is placed in the sign of Pisces in the 8th house then this same placement could also produce a sportsman as Virgo is also a sign of competitions and fights and Jupiter is a planet that makes you move when Mars is placed in the sign of Pisces. So there are a lot of possibilities and nothing can be said with certainty unless all the planetary placements are known in the birth chart.

Also, Pisces is a virtual sign and so when Saturn is placed in the sign of Pisces in the 8th house and then if the 8th lord Jupiter is placed in the sign of Virgo in the 2nd house then people developing software and apps in the field of IT (information technology) can also be seen from this placement as everything over the internet is virtual and anything virtual is represented by the sign of Pisces.

5) When Jupiter is placed in the sign of Virgo in the 2nd house it basically means whatever higher knowledge or higher education you have acquired in your life you need to use that knowledge in doing some work such as making or constructing something. For example, if you know how to write codes of programming (such as PHP, .net, HTML, CSS, etc) then you have a higher knowledge of all these programming languages and now you need to apply this knowledge in making websites, apps, and software and that is what it means when Jupiter falls on the sign of Virgo.

You first acquire knowledge and that apply that knowledge in developing something (practical work-virgo). Since Jupiter controls the 5th house and the 8th house for a Leo ascendant so their higher knowledge is basically related to the 5th house and the 8th house but we need to look at the position of Sun (default ruler of 5th house) and Mars (default ruler of 8th house) in order to know what exactly is their higher knowledge all about.

6) If Jupiter is placed in the 2nd house in the sign of Virgo but if the 2nd lord Mercury and Sun are placed in the sign of Scorpio in the 4th house then with this placement the native could work in some chemicals factory or may even work in a science laboratory as Scorpio is a sign of risks and all professions involving risks may be associated with the sign of Scorpio. But Scorpio is also a sign of surgeries and so people like surgical doctors may also have this placement as Virgo is also a sign of diseases and Jupiter is placed there in the 2nd house.

7) If Jupiter is placed in the 2nd house in the sign of Virgo but if the 2nd lord Mercury and Sun are placed in the sign of Gemini in the 11th house then people like communication engineers and IT professionals and even civil engineers can also be seen from this placement as Gemini is a sign of communication, marketing, and travel. If you don't know about IT (information technology) you can search in Google. People who are into writing and editing can also be seen from this placement as Gemini is also a sign of writing.

8) If Jupiter is placed in the 2nd house in the sign of Virgo but if the 2nd lord Mercury and Sun are placed in the sign of Aries in the 9th house then sportsmen and athletes can also be seen from this placement. If Sun and Mercury are placed in the sign of Libra in the 3rd house then lawyers can be seen from this placement as Libra is a sign of resolving disputes.

If Sun and Mercury are placed in the sign of Cancer in the 12th house then people involved in food hygiene and food preservation (such as drug inspectors and cooks) can be seen from this placement as Cancer is a sign that represents the food and Virgo is also a sign of hygiene. If Sun and Mercury are placed in the sign of Taurus in the 10th house then people working in the field of finance in various government organizations such as banks and insurance companies and in the tax and revenue department are generally seen from this placement.
