What if Saturn is in 2nd house in Leo for Cancer ascendant? (Vedic Astrology)

This article is also valid for > 8th lord in 2nd house and 7th lord in 2nd house for Cancer Ascendant.

Saturn will fall in the sign of Leo when placed in the 2nd house for Cancer Ascendant. There are several possibilities with this placement and here are some of them.

1) This placement is really not good and it can give restriction to wealth or may make you struggle a lot for wealth during the 1st 30-35 years of your life as Saturn is a restrictive planet and so it may give restriction to wealth as 2nd house is the house of wealth. Also, for a Cancer ascendant Saturn rules the 8th house of turbulence and so Saturn dasa could bring a lot of turbulence in wealth (sudden ups and downs).

People with this placement often get into some kind of speculative business such as gambling and stock trading or even sports betting and you never know you will win or lose and that is the reason 8th lord in 2nd house could bring a lot of ups and downs in the wealth of the native. But if Saturn is well placed in the wheelchakra then it can also make a lot of money from speculation. 2) Since the 7th house is the house of marriage so you may be restricted to wealth after marriage with this placement of the 7th lord in the 2nd house as Saturn is a restrictive planet and the 7th house gets activated after marriage.

It is not that you cannot make money with this placement but money may come to you late in life and once you start making money with this placement then you can make a lot of money as from the 2nd house Saturn also aspects the 11th house of gains and 11th house is Saturn's own house (in the default zodiac) so this aspect is good for gaining wealth and more customers as 11th house is the house of customers and regular income and professional network circle.

When Saturn is placed in the sign of Leo then it is placed in an enemy sign as Saturn and Sun are enemies and Sun rules the sign of Leo.

3) You might have seen people who do the job of cooking food at marriage parties and they are often called as Rasoie (one who works in rasoi (kitchen)) and such kind of people usually have this placement of Saturn in the 2nd house in the sign of Leo. These people are not much rich as they are just workers who actually cook food using all the food equipment. In a way, they are restricted to wealth as their job is not of high class and so don't pay much.

Leo is a sign that represents the fire and fire is involved in cooking and 2nd house is also the house of food and wealth and Saturn is a planet that represents all things made of iron and steel which also include food utensils or food equipment. Also, the 8th house is the house of transformation and here 8th lord is placed in the 2nd house of food so it becomes a transformation of food which is nothing but cooking as melting is involved in cooking and melting is nothing but transformation. Their Sun you will find them in the 1st house in the sign of Cancer as Cancer is a sign of food and clothing.

4) Many people do welding work in different industries and they may also have this placement of Saturn in the sign of Leo in the 2nd house as fire is involved in welding and welding is generally done to integrate parts to assemble and build a certain product. For example, you cannot make iron or steel made staircases without welding as a lot of twists and turns are involved in staircases and Saturn represents all things made of iron and steel.

Many people work in the automobile industry and do the welding work to make vehicle body parts and assemble them and such people may also have this placement. People working in the iron and steel industries are most commonly seen from this placement as there is a lot of welding involved in these industries. Also, welding is not a high-class job as this is a manual job and so the wealth is not much in this profession and that is the reason Saturn in Leo gives restriction to wealth in the 2nd house.

5) Now there are also people who play music bands for the marriage parties and playing musical instruments like a drum is nothing but fun and entertainment represented by the sign of Leo and Saturn is a planet that represents all things made of iron, steel, and wood and so also represents the musical instruments. In the olden days, folk instruments were used during marriage ceremonies for entertainment and you can see the list of all the folk instruments on Wikipedia and people playing such musical instruments may also have this placement of > Saturn in Leo in the 2nd house.

6) Also, there are people like electricians or electrical and electronics engineers who are all the time working with lighting and heating systems either to repair them or build them and such people can also be seen from this placement as Leo is also a sign of light and heat and Saturn represents all the machinery and tools used to repair or build the electrical systems.

In electronics also soldering is involved which is also nothing but working with the light and heat. So people involved in the repairing of electronics items like TV, tape recorder, laptops, press, heaters, bulbs and tubes, etc can also be seen from this placement. This is more so possible if Sun is placed in the sign of Virgo in the 3rd house and Virgo is a sign of repairing. Also, if you see, for a Cancer ascendant, Saturn rules the 8th house and the 8th house is the house of going to the roots of something which is nothing but engineering or coding (programming).

7) Saturn also rules the sign of Aquarius which is a sign of network technology and Leo is a sign of being in the limelight and so all the equipment used in the making of a film or a TV serial such as shooting camera, audio recorder, film editing software, etc are also represented by Saturn as they help in being in the limelight and so people involved in film shooting or filming, in general, can also be seen from this placement.

Many people take scenes of the outer world through their camera and publish them on youtube and such people can also be seen from this placement. If the 2nd lord Sun is placed in the sign of Gemini in the 12th house then people involved in photography or photo editing can also be seen.

8) If Saturn is placed in the sign of Leo in the 2nd house but if the 2nd lord Sun is placed in the sign of Pisces in the 9th house then people working in the aviation industry such as aerospace engineers can also be seen from this placement. Also, sportsmen can be seen from this placement as Leo is also a sign of sports and Saturn represents all sports equipment made of iron and steel, and wood.
