What if Mars is in 12th house for Sagittarius Ascendant? (Vedic Astrology)

This article is also valid for > 5th lord in 12th house and 12th lord in 12th house for Sagittarius Ascendant.

Mars will fall in the sign of Scorpio when placed in the 12th house for Sagittarius Ascendant. There are several possibilities with this placement and here are some of them.

1) Scorpio is a sign of sinking and the 12th house is the house that represents the sea as the 12th house is ruled by the sign of Pisces in the default zodiac and Pisces represents the sea. You might have seen some people dive in the sea or water for swimming or they may be involved in scuba diving and they in a way sink in the water and as said before Scorpio is a sign of sinking and that is the reason people like swimmers or who are in sea sports can be seen from this placement of > 5th lord Mars in the 12th house in the sign of Scorpio.

Also, Mars controls the 5th house of recreational activities for a Sagittarius Ascendant and sea sports is also a recreational activity. But this is just one possibility and this is more so possible if the ascendant lord Jupiter is placed in the sign of Cancer (representing water) in the 8th house and the 8th lord Moon is also placed along with Mars in the 12th house in the sign of Scorpio. 8th house is the house of turbulence and when you swim or dive in water then turbulence is there also and so it makes sense.

When Moon is placed in the sign of Scorpio it could mean turbulence (as Scorpio is turbulence) in water as Moon represents water and this is more so if it happening in the 12th house. If Mars is in the 12th house then always look at where Jupiter is placed as Jupiter rules the 12th house in the default zodiac and that will give more idea of what Mars will do in the 12th house for you.

2) Also, you might have seen people who are in the Air force and they are fighter pilots and they are taught to jump from the helicopter or fighter plane using a parachute during an emergency. Now when they jump they are in air or ether (Akash) and ether is represented by the sign of Pisces or Jupiter and when they move through the ether (while falling down) then that movement is seen by the sign of Aries as Aries is a sign that makes you move as Aries is energy (fuel).

So such people may also be Sagittarius ascendant with their ascendant lord Jupiter placed in the sign of Aries in the 5th house of recreational activities and 5th lord Mars being placed in the sign of Scorpio in the 12th house. Scorpio is also a sign of jump and turbulence and there is already a lot of turbulence when you jump from the sky using a parachute. So people in the air force and navy may also have this placement. But again this is just one of the possibilities as with this placement sportsmen like high jumpers and long jumpers can also be seen depending on the location of other planets in the birth chart.

3) You might have seen a tennis player and you can see there is a lot of energy and effort on hands as in tennis hands are used to play and there is also a lot of turbulence in hands as hands are always moving up and down while playing and "up & down" is nothing but turbulence represented by the sign of Scorpio.

So here also > Mars in Scorpio in the 12th house < makes sense as the energy of Mars is being used to make the hands up and down (turbulence) and this is more so possible if the ascendant lord, Jupiter, is placed in the sign of Gemini in the 7th house as the sign of Gemini represents our hands and shoulders. Not only tennis but all sports where the skills of hands are used such as basketball or cricket can also be seen from this placement. But again this is more so possible if Mercury, lord of Gemini, and Sun are placed in the sign of Aries in the 5th house. Otherwise, this same placement may produce something else.

4) Scorpio is also a sign of melting and so people working in industries where they melt ingredients to make a certain product are also seen from this placement. For example, lipstick (a cosmetic product) is made by the melting of wax and so people working in the cosmetics and wax industries may have their Mars placed in the sign of Scorpio in the 12th house as the 12th house is also the house of working from behind the scenes and 5th house is also the house of creation and here 5th lord is placed in the 12th house.

But this is more so possible if the ascendant lord Jupiter is placed in the sign of Taurus in the 6th house and the 6th lord Venus is also placed along with Mars in the 12th house in the sign of Scorpio. Things that are made after transformation (such as after melting) are generally seen by the sign of Scorpio as Scorpio is also a sign of transformation. When we make food then boiling and melting are also involved in cooking and so people like cooks can also be seen from this same placement.

5) Scorpio is also a sign that represents the chemicals as chemicals are risky and Scorpio is also a sign of risks and emergency and so people working in the chemical industry to produce goods like soap, detergents, fragrance, salt, toothpaste, mouthwash, alcohol, vinegar, baking and bleaching powder, caustic soda, toilet paper, deodorants, sugar, salt, etc can also be seen from this placement of > Mars in the 12th house in the sign of Scorpio.

6) But there are also people who are working with industrial chemicals such as synthetic fibers, resins, rubber chemicals, tires, adhesives, additives, hazardous materials such as crackers, dyes, pigments, toxic solvents, fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides, plastic melting, paints, etc and such people can also be seen from this placement of > 5th lord Mars in the 12th house in the sign of Scorpio. People working in chemical laboratories may also have this placement.

7) There are also people working in the dyeing industry such as hair dyeing, cloth dyeing, yarn dyeing, garment dyeing, package dyeing, textile or fabric dyeing, etc and such people can also be seen from this placement as dyeing is also a process of transformation. People like welders and melters can also be seen from this placement.

8) Scorpio is also a sign of going to the roots and when you do surgical operations as a doctor then also you are going to the roots and so people like doctors and mental health specialists can also be seen from this placement if other planets in the birth chart are also supportive.
