What if 9th lord is in 5th house? (Vedic Astrology)

There are several possibilities with the 9th lord in the 5th house and let’s discuss according to the ascendant of the native.

1) Aries Ascendant: For an Aries ascendant Jupiter rules the 9th house and it will fall in the sign of Leo in the 5th house. This placement is extremely good to make a lot of foreign trips as the 5th house is 9th from the 9th house and so 5th house is the higher self of 9th house according to the Bhavat Bhavam concept in Vedic Astrology.

Now, since the 9th house is the house of long-distance journeys and since the 5th house is the higher self of 9th house it means the 5th house is the house of foreign countries journeys and that is the reason this placement is good for foreign travel but most probably the travel will happen in Jupiter dasa or anterdasa or even pratyantradasa but transits must also be favorable for that such as Jupiter aspecting the ascendant lord or the 1st house in transit, or Jupiter transiting through the 1st house itself.

National and international level sports players often have this placement as they need to move from one country to another country in order to participate in different sports events (including athletics). But this is more so possible if the 5th lord Sun is placed in the 1st house in the sign of Aries as Aries is a major sign of sports.

Cinematographers, such as filmmakers, are also quite often seen from this placement and these people also need to move from one country to another country or one city to another city for their film shooting. If the 5th lord Sun is placed in the sign of Gemini in the 3rd house then this is more so possible. Aries ascendant natives, in general, are physically very active as Mars rules their ascendant as Mars is a planet of energy and willpower and good Mars is a must for sports.

This placement is really good for people who are into fun and entertainment such as music, dance, singing, acting, etc and such natives will travel a lot during Venus dasa or anterdasa or pratyantradasa for the stage performance.
