What if 8th lord is in 9th house (Vedic Astrology)?

There are several possibilities with this placement of the 8th lord in the 9th house and here are some of them.

1) 9th house is the house of exploration and 8th house is the house of dark secrets and so people engaged in exploring the dark secrets or hidden secrets such as hidden mysteries, hidden caves, dead bodies or mummies, secret monuments, haunted places, underground secrets, etc may have this placement. Many journalists visit different secretive places such as haunted buildings in order to make news for their channel and such people may have this placement.

2) 9th house is the house of religious activities and 8th house is the house of occult and mysticism and so people carrying out religious activities related to spirit possessions, ghost possessions, tantra and mantra, magic, funeral, occult, paranormal activities, demonic possession, psychic reading, ufology, telepathy, ghost hunting, etc can be seen from this placement.

3) Many people even go hunting in jungles and they may also have this placement as hunting is associated with killing and 8th house is also the house of killing and 9th house is the house of exploration and hunting is nothing but exploration for animal skin or animal meat (animal food).

This placement means risk in the long-distance journey. Many people go hiking and trekking which are full of risks and they may also have this placement. Even many people do risky stunts during a film shooting and they may also have this placement. Many people do risky stunts in the circus and other shows and even in sports and they may also have this placement. People involved in risky sports are most commonly seen from this placement.

6) 8th house is also the house of research and investigation and the 9th house is the house of law and finding the truth and so people like detectives and journalists who are engaged in finding the truth such as crime investigation or homicide investigation may also have this placement. People engaged in the detection of frauds may also have this placement as the 8th house is the house of frauds and the 9th house is the house of bringing everything to the surface. 7) I saw the birth chart of a bus driver who drives in the mountains of Nainital (a hill station in India) and he was an Aries ascendant with the 8th lord Mars and 10th lord Saturn placed in the sign of Sagittarius in the 9th house. There is a lot of risks involved in the travel when you drive on mountains and Sagittarius is a sign of travel and Mars is fuel and fuel makes the vehicle move and Saturn represents vehicles as vehicles are made of iron and steel and anything made of iron and steel are represented by Saturn.

9) I also saw the birth chart of a Leo ascendant native and he was having his 8th lord Jupiter placed in the 9th house in the sign of Aries and he is a fighter pilot as when you fly airplanes or aircraft there is a lot of up & down (turbulence) and risk and 8th house is the house of risks (and turbulence) and 9th house is the house of long-distance journeys. Many skydivers, scuba divers, bungee jumpers, sportsmen, etc may also have this placement as there is a lot of risk and turbulence in all these and your body also travels in air or sea when you do stunts in all these sports.

10) When the 8th lord in the 9th house then there is always a risk in travel such as many people’s goods or luggage are being stolen during the journey. Many people even have suffered death while traveling to some pilgrimage in an ice mountain during landslide with this placement as 8th house is a very turbulent and risky house. So, such things are also possible and so you need to be careful during travel if you have this placement.

11) People who provide funeral services at the death of someone may also have this placement as the 9th house is the house of all religious activities and the 8th house is the house of death.

15) People publishing about occult science and paranormal may also have this placement such as people writing blogs about the occult and paranormal or even those making youtube videos. Also, there are people who are making documentary films on wildlife animals and they may also have this placement as wild animals are also seen from the 9th house. When you publish content on youtube then that is also seen from the 9th house as you are publishing information and information is seen from the 9th house. If the 3rd is media then the 9th house is what you publish in the media.

16) If the sign of Taurus falls on the 8th house (for a Libra ascendant) and then if the 8th lord Venus is placed in the 9th house in the sign of Gemini then people like TV anchors and YouTubers who are giving news about the up and down in the financial markets can be seen from this placement as Taurus is a sign of finances or financial assets (such as the stocks and currency) and Gemini is a sign of communication and 9th house is the house of publishing.

For example, if the 8th lord Moon (for a Sagittarius ascendant) is placed in the sign of Leo in the 9th house then people who are into video editing or film editing may have this placement. YouTubers often do a lot of video editing and so they may have this placement. People like hackers and web programmers and app developers are most commonly seen from this placement.

18) If the 8th lord is placed in the 9th house then your father or your Guru may have a psychic problem especially if Moon is involved. This is because the 8th house is the house where all the dead spirits reside and we get psychic problems when dead spirits enter our body. A lot of diseases also come when there are psychic problems depending on which body part the dead spirit is acting within our subtle system.
