What if Ketu is in 12th house for Leo Ascendant? (Vedic Astrology)

Ketu will fall in the sign of Cancer when placed in the 12th house for a Leo ascendant native. There are several possibilities with this placement and here are some of them.

1) With this placement, the native could go for a sacred bath at some spiritual place as Ketu is a religious planet and Cancer is a sign of water and the 12th house represents isolated and spiritual places such as the sea or river. Ganga Snan (sacred bath) is quite popular in India and Ganga Snan is possible with this placement during the period of Ketu. But other planets in the birth chart should also support that.

2) Ketu is a planet of cremation and the sign of Cancer or Moon represents the mother and 12th house is the house of the end of life and so during Ketu dasa or anterdasa the native might face mother’s demise (as Moon represents the mother in Vedic Astrology) especially if Moon is debilitated in the 4th house in the sign of Scorpio or badly afflicted by other malefic planets.

But this is not always so and the birth chart and the Navamsa chart need to be analyzed carefully. But certainly, this is a possibility as Ketu is a planet of death as Ketu is the significator of the 8th house of death and cremation. Ketu also represents dead bodies such as Mummies. If Moon is your Darakarka (DK) then Moon could also represent your spouse as DK represents the spouse.

3) If the 12th lord, Moon, is placed in the 3rd house or the 9th house then such natives could travel a lot for pilgrimages as Ketu is also a planet of religious activities such as worshipping. Moon or the sign of Cancer represents our emotions & feelings and when Ketu falls in this sign then the feelings & emotions could turn towards spiritual and religious activities as Ketu is a planet of religious and spiritual practices.

4) Ketu is also a planet of occult and paranormal such as astrology, numerology, Vaastu, tantra, magic, tarot card reading, etc. Now when Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer in the 12th house then the native’s heart (as the sign of Cancer or Moon represents our heart) could also be towards these things and so the natives, with this placement, could also be interested in occult science and paranormal. Also, the 12th house is the house of spirituality and so the 12th house is also about spiritual and occult practices.

Also, when Ketu is placed in the 12th house then Rahu will fall in the 6th house in the sign of Capricorn, and Capricorn or Saturn is again the significator of all the dark and secretive things as Saturn is a dark planet and so it represents the darkness and 8th house is also the house of darkness, and through occult science, you come to know about the dark secrets of life. Remember, Sun is light and Saturn is darkness and so Saturn is also the significator of the 8th house. But again, this is just one of the possibilities as other planets in the birth chart should support that.

5) Cancer is also a sign of nurturing or teaching and when Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer then the native could also teach about occult science and paranormal or spread this knowledge and information via media such as the internet websites and youtube videos or even television channels. Remember, Vedic astrology is also a part of occult science. When Moon is also placed in the sign of Cancer along with Ketu in the 12th house then the teaching or writing career is more so possible.

6) Ketu is also a depressive shadow planet and so it can make the emotions of the native quite depressive especially if the lord of Cancer, Moon, is also debilitated in the sign of Scorpio in the 4th house. So, depression problem is also likely with this placement. If Ketu is conjuncted or aspected by Saturn and Mars in the 12th house then it can also make the native very cruel by heart and he could also become a psychopath and serial killer as the 12th house is also the house of killing as it is the house of endings. Ketu is not always spiritual it is considered as the natural malefic along with Saturn, Mars, Rahu, and Sun.

7) If Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer in the 12th house but if the 12th lord Moon is placed in the 2nd house in the sign of Virgo then this is the most difficult placement as this could give heart troubles such as pain & suffering in the heart or even it could give heart attack (or heart nerve blockage) if other planets in the birth chart are indicative of that such as Saturn in Aries in the 9th house and Mars & Ketu in Cancer in the 12th house.

Moon in Virgo is always prone to heart troubles as Moon represents our heart and Virgo is a sign of troubles and difficulties and Virgo sign also represents the nervous system in our body. Or Moon in Virgo gives a lot of thoughts as thoughts also come into our minds (Moon). People like heart surgeons may also have this placement as Ketu is also a planet of surgeries but other planets in the birth chart should support that. This is because Ketu is a planet of going to the roots and in the sign of Cancer you go to the roots of the heart or person’s psychology and so people like psychologists and psychiatrists can also be seen from this placement.

8) Drug addicts may also have this placement of > Ketu in the 12th house in the sign of Cancer as Ketu represents our past and when Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer the native’s emotions could be attached with some unfortunate incident in the past or there could be some past life issues (psychological problems) and this could make the person depressive and when you go into depression then becoming a drug addict is quite possible as people take drugs to forget their past or to overcome their weaknesses such as the personality disorders or something else. Ketu is really the planet of past life and there is certainly a possibility that the native’s emotions are attached to some life incident. The mother of the native could also have some psychological issues with this placement such as ghost possession, dead spirit possession, or other paranormal.

9) The 12th house is also the house of sleep and dreams and since Ketu is a planet of the past and since all the dreadful and fearful things are represented by Ketu so coming of bad dreams in the sleep and the possibility of sleep disorders is also there with this placement. If some unfortunate incident has occurred in the past life then those could trouble the native in the dreams.

10) If Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer in the 12th house but if the 12th lord Moon is placed in the sign of Aries in the 9th house then such natives’ mind is very active and they could also be journalists and detectives and crime investigators as Ketu is also a planet of research and investigation as Ketu represents the murders (death) and dead bodies. Aries is a very active sign (moving sign) and Moon is a planet of shelters and so it becomes active in a shelter which is nothing but a moving vehicle as a vehicle is also a shelter in travel. Such natives travel a lot for doing research and investigation as 9th house is also the house of long-distance journeys and so people like journalists and police officers can be seen from this placement.

11) The 12th house is also the house of the virtual world and Cancer or Moon represents the storage and so people associated with the virtual storage systems such as cloud computing, servers, web hosting, data storage, database management, etc can also be seen from this placement of > Ketu in the 12th house for a Leo ascendant. When Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer in the 12th house then you could go to the roots of these storage systems to create such storage systems in the field of IT (information technology) as Ketu is a planet of going to the roots. This is more so possible if the 12th lord Moon is placed in the sign of Taurus in the 10th house of automation and manufacturing. If you are in IT with this placement then Ketu may make you lose your job a lot as Ketu is a planet of negligence and change. Ketu is also a planet of change so it brings a change or replacement in the virtual storage systems. The native may do the job of replacing the storage systems such as the replacement of hard disk drives or online storage systems.

12) Ketu in the sign of Cancer in the 12th house may create the risk of drowning in the sea or river especially if the ascendant lord Sun is placed in the 8th house in the sign of Pisces and the 8th lord Jupiter is placed in the 4th house in the sign of Scorpio (along with Moon) and the 4th lord Mars is placed in the 8th house along with Sun.
