What if Ketu is in 5th house for Pisces ascendant? (Vedic Astrology)

Ketu will fall in the sign of Cancer when placed in the 5th house for a Pisces ascendant native. There are several possibilities with this placement and here are some of them.

1) Some natives, with this placement, often pour water to Surya (Sun) during the Sunrise. This is because the sign of Cancer represents the water and Ketu (placed in Cancer) is a planet of religious activities and the 5th house is the house of the Sun in the default zodiac.

2) With this placement, the water heating systems (such as geyser) of the native could go bad during the period of Ketu or the native could also be a home appliances engineer. People working with solar water heaters, geothermal heating of water, heat pumps, air conditioners, and air coolers can also be seen from this placement. This is because Ketu is a planet of going to the roots of something and the 5th house is the house of the Sun and the Sun represents all the heating systems as Sun is a hot planet. For example, when you do engineering then you go to the roots of machines. Also, cancer is a sign of storage and it also represents the water.

3) Ketu is also a planet of transformation as Ketu is the natural significator of the 8th house of transformation and when you transform water into steam or vapors then also this placement of > Ketu in the sign of Cancer in the 5th house can be seen. For example, people working with thermal power plants may have this placement as in thermal power plants water is heated into steam which is used to drive an electrical generator to produce electricity. So, people like mechanical engineers can be seen from this placement as they work with the boilers and turbines and does the work of transformation to produce electricity.

4) People working with the industrial boilers are most commonly seen from this placement and boilers are used in different industries such as food processing, electricity generation, laundries, beer brewing, pharmaceutical processing, poultry processing, meat processing, health care (hospitals), etc. Ketu is a planet of transformation and when Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer it transforms water as Cancer is a sign that represents the water. So, all professions where water is converted into steam can be seen from this placement as the 5th house is ruled by Sun in the default zodiac and Sun represents the heat or steam.

5) Ketu is a suppressive planet and sign of Cancer is the sign of our emotions and so Ketu suppresses the emotions. On the other hand, Rahu amplifies the emotions in the sign of Cancer as Rahu is an amplifier. Generosity could also be lost when Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer as Cancer is also a sign of showing generosity. When you work too hard with the machines you get emotionally drained and that is what Ketu does in the sign of Cancer. Rahu in the sign of Capricorn in the 11th house could make you work very hard with the machinery and tools (automation) as Capricorn is a sign of automation (working with machines - engineering). If your Rahu is over-amplified then Ketu can drain your emotions and feelings in the sign of Cancer as Cancer is a sign of emotions and feelings. This may also result in fatigue or so-called lack of energy if Ketu is aspected by a planet like Saturn or Mars or if these planets are conjuncting Ketu in the 5th house.

Rahu, in general, is an amplifier but sometimes it gets over-amplified if the degree of Rahu is more, in that case, Ketu creates problem in love and romance relationships in the 5th house and could also result in multiple relationships as Ketu is a planet of change and it may make you change partner for love and romance. Ketu often creates dissatisfaction in love relationships in the 5th house and that is the reason for change.

The 5th house is the powerhouse for the vitality or energy you need to produce kids (as Sun is the giver of vitality and Sun rules the 5th house in the default zodiac) and if Rahu is over-amplified and if Mars is debilitated or falls under NDH then sometimes having kids becomes also difficult in life as Ketu drains away all the emotional strength you need to produce kids. If Saturn is placed in Moola Nakshatra then often it creates problems in having kids or give diseases. Having a strong Moon (emotions) is also important to produce kids as when we are emotionally drained then we don’t have enough energy to mate. And since the 5th house is the house of our vitality so we are actually emotionally drained in vitality when Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer in the 5th house and so bedroom life or love & romance life could be affected by this placement. But again, this is just a possibility and other planets in the birth chart and the Navamsa chart should confirm that. If Saturn is also placed along with Ketu in the 5th house in the sign of Cancer then there could be some serious problem. But if the 5th house is aspected by the natal Jupiter then the situation would still be under control.

6) People involved in the promotion of religious clothing may also have this placement of > Ketu in the sign of Cancer in the 5th house but this is more so possible if the 5th lord Moon is placed in the sign of Taurus in the 3rd house. This is because Cancer is a sign of clothing and Ketu is a religious planet and 5th house is the house of promotion as 5th house is the house of increasing the name and fame as Sun is also associated with the name and fame as Sun is the default ruler of the 5th house in the natural zodiac.

Ketu represents all the dreadful things such as snakes, cobras, dragons, dinosaurs, ghosts, etc and so people promoting clothing with the design of such dreadful things may also have this placement. If you are an actor with this placement then you may play all the dreadful or spiritual (or religious) roles with this placement as Ketu is also a planet of religion.

Models who are working for the promotion of different brands may also have this placement as they need to change their clothing a lot in order to promote different brands and Ketu is also a planet of change and so it brings a change in the sign of Cancer. People with this placement, in general, could change their clothing a lot or they may wear very old-fashioned clothing as Ketu is a planet of the past and things of the past are considered older.

Many people are also marketing 2nd hand or old clothing and footwear and they may also have this placement. Many ladies take old clothes in exchange for cooking utensils and those kinds of ladies often have this placement as Ketu is a planet of exchange. People engaged in the marketing of 2nd hand or old vehicles may also have this placement as the sign of Cancer is also about vehicles.

7) People who are somehow associated with a heart transplant or liver transplant or kidney transplant may also have this placement of > Ketu in the sign of Cancer in the 5th house < as Ketu is also a planet of transplant and the sign of Cancer represents our heart and the 5th house is also associated with the stomach or liver as Sun is a planet that represents our liver and Sun rules the 5th house in the default zodiac and so the 5th house has all the qualities of Sun. But this is more so possible if the 5th lord Moon is either afflicted to debilitated or falls under NDH.

When Moon is afflicted then heart troubles are likely and then only you need a heart transplant and this is what Ketu can also do in the sign of Cancer. Saturn in the sign of Cancer along with Ketu in the 5th house can bring major trouble and even paralysis is also possible. Moon when placed in the sign of Virgo (or 6th house) also brings heart troubles as Virgo is a sign of troubles.

8) Ketu in the sign of Cancer in the 5th house could also bring the demise of the mother if the 5th lord Moon is placed in the sign of Scorpio (debilitated Moon) in the 9th house. But this is just one of the possibilities and it is not always so as the other planets in the birth chart and the Navamsa chart also need to be analyzed. Scorpio is a sign of death and major transformation and so Moon is never considered good in the sign of Scorpio. This may also result in blood transfusion, heart transplant, kidney transplant, etc. Also, with this placement, you may get cheated or fall prey to false Gurus or false teachers who just took your money and never delivered anything.

9) If Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer in the 5th house but if the 5th lord Moon is placed in the sign of Sagittarius in the 10th house then Ketu here could bring a lot of change in the home or office and even in the professional status in a job as 10th house is the house of professional status. The sign of Cancer represents the shelters and so Ketu brings a change in the shelter with this placement and a vehicle could also be a shelter in travel and so people like vehicle drivers and people working in the logistics, courier, and transportation industry may also have this placement.

Packers and movers & people involved in corporate relocation can also be seen from this placement as they shift us from one place to another or one city to another as Ketu is a planet of change or shift. So, during the Ketu period, you can expect to shift especially if transits are also favorable. The 10th house is the house of working with machines and vehicles are also moving machines and nothing else.

10) If sometimes you are looking for when you will shift home or office or vehicle then and if Ketu transiting the sign of Cancer is nearby then you can expect the shift at that time especially if dasas are also favorable.

11) If Ketu is placed in the sign of Cancer in the 5th house but if the 5th lord Moon is placed in the sign of Pisces in the 1st house then it could bring a lot of turbulence (up & down) on your physical body as the 1st house is more about the physical self. For example, football players and other sportsmen (including athletes) may be seen from this placement as there is a lot of up & down on their bodies when they run and play. People doing gymnastics turn, twist, and flip their bodies a lot and this is what Ketu does in the sign of Cancer in the 5th house as 5th house is also the house of recreational activities.
