Sign of Gemini on the 8th house. Playing tricks with hands? Scorpio Ascendant. (Vedic Astrology)

For a Scorpio ascendant, Mercury rules the 8th house and the 11th house. Now let us see what results the Mercury will produce when placed in different houses.

The sign of Gemini represents our hands and the 8th house is the house of transformation or change and so people like magicians are quite often seen as Scorpio ascendants as in magic you transform something into something else using certain tricks or magic using your hands. So magic is one of the things that can be seen when the sign of Gemini falls on the 8th house. The 8th house or Scorpio is actually the sign that represents the tricks. This is because tricks are done in a hidden way and the 8th house is also the house of hiding and keeping things secret.

Magicians keep everything secret and the 8th house is also the house of secrets. For example, when you do card tricks you cannot do it without your hands and the sign of Gemini represents our hands. Saturn and Mercury in the 1st house in the sign of Scorpio could be about hacking while Jupiter and Mercury in the same house could be about information security or cybersecurity. Jupiter will protect the network while Saturn may try to breach the network security. Hacking people do secretly and anything secret is seen from the 8th house or the sign of Scorpio. As I mentioned earlier, the 8th house is also the house of risks and emergency and Gemini is a sign that represents our hands and so people doing all kinds of risky jobs with their hands may also be Scorpio ascendants. For example, fire & electricity is also a risk (as it can harm us) and many people do welding work with their hands in the iron and steel industries these people (usually engineers) could also be Scorpio ascendents with Sun and Saturn placed in the sign of Scorpio in the 1st house and the 1st house lord Mars placed in the sign of Gemini in the 8th house.

Sun is the planet of light, heat, and fire and so Sun & Mercury in the sign of Scorpio can certainly make the native work with the fire and melting and even boilers. Melting helps in conversion or transformation and the 8th house is also the house of conversion & transformation. People like firefighters may also be Scorpio ascendants as they also take a lot of risks.

When the 8th lord Mercury is placed in the sign of Capricorn in the 3rd house then these people usually work with their hands and they operate machines with their hands as Capricorn is a sign of machinery and tools (and automation) and 3rd house is also the house which represents our skills of hands. They also work with various industrial tools as all the tools made of iron & steel are represented by the sign of Capricorn or Saturn. Now, what kind of machine they will operate with their hands will depend on the location of the 3rd lord Saturn in the birth chart. For example, if the 3rd house lord Saturn is placed in the sign of Taurus in the 7th house, they may operate on a food machine as Taurus is a sign that represents the food. The person could also be a mechanic or an engineer with this placement of Mercury in the 3rd house for Scorpio ascendant.

The 8th house is also the house of ups and downs (turbulence) and Gemini is a sign that represents our skills of hands and there are many sports where the skills of hands are required. For example, Javelin throw is a track and field event where the skills of hands are required and when the Javelin (a tool), a spear of about 2.5 m, is thrown in the air there is a lot of ups & downs (turbulence) in the hands and such sport also makes sense for a Scorpio ascendant especially if the 8th lord Mercury is placed in the sign of Capricorn in the 3rd house and Saturn, lord of 3rd house, is placed in the sign of Pisces in the 5th house of recreational activities.

The sign of Pisces is akash or ether and the Javelin goes into the ether or air when it is thrown. There are other such sports also where the skills of hands are required and that is the reason you could see a lot of Scorpio ascendants as sportsmen also and usually those sports where the skills of hands are required. Even archery requires the skills of hands. Mercury in the 3rd house (irrespective of the sign on the 3rd house) is always good for > working with hands.

People like Carpenters could also be seen as Scorpio ascendants if the 8th lord Mercury is placed in the sign of Capricorn in the 3rd house and if Saturn, ruler of 3rd house, is placed in the sign of Sagittarius in the 2nd house as Sagittarius is a sign that represents all things made of wood as Sagittarius is a sign that represents the trees and we obtain wood from trees only. Carpenters also work with wood and so the sign of Sagittarius is important for carpenters and they work with tools made of iron and steel and all tools made of iron & steel are represented by the sign of Capricorn.

When Mercury is placed in the sign of Capricorn in the 3rd house it means working with hands using some iron & steel made tools and even it could be a sports tool or a machine handle. People like blacksmiths and cobblers may also have this same placement of Mercury in the 3rd house in Capricorn. When you make an old shoe looks new by polishing (using your skills of hands) it then you are transforming it and the 8th house is also the house of transformation.

The 8th house is also the house of operations and surgeries and Gemini is a sign that represents our skills of hands and so when we use our hands to do surgeries and operations then also the sign of Gemini could fall on the 8th house and that is the reason many Scorpio ascendants you will find as surgical doctors. The 8th house is actually the house of going to the roots of something and when you do a surgery you need to go to the roots of the body.

When you mimicry someone then also you transform or change and so people like mimicry artists could also be Scorpio ascendants especially if the 8th lord Mercury is placed in the sign of Aquarius in the 4th house as Mimicry artists often perform in front of the public and Aquarius is a sign that represents the public.
