What if 5th lord is in 12th house? (Vedic Astrology)

Several predictions can be made when the 5th lord is placed in the 12th house and here are some of them.

1) The 5th house is the house of love and romance and the 12th house is the house of sleep and bedroom life and so this placement of > 5th lord in the 12th house means having love and romance in the bedroom and if Mars and Venus are placed in the 12th house there could even be sexual relationships. The 12th house is 8th from the 5th house and anything 8th is hidden and secretive and so hidden sexual relationships or secret love and romance is also possible with this placement.

2) The 5th house represents the first child of the native and so with this placement of > 5th lord in the 12th house, the first child of the native may move to a foreign country as the 12th house is also the house of foreign countries. But 12th is also the virtual world of computers and the internet and so the child of the native could also work in the virtual world of computers and the internet such as an IT (information technology) professional.

3) The 5th lord in the 12th house is an extremely powerful placement to move to a foreign country or a foreign place or an isolated place for some kind of recreational activity as the 5th house is the house of recreational activities (sports is also recreational activity) and 12th house represents all the foreign and isolated places. Sky and mountains are also isolated spaces and so these are also represented by the 12th house.

For example, many people are interested in adventure sports like parachute jumping, bungee jumping, paragliding, sailing, ice sports, sky sports, etc and such people may have this placement as for such sports you need to travel a lot and move to isolated places where such sports are carried out. Also, the 12th house is 8th from the 5th house and anything 8th involves risk and turbulence and all these adventure sports involve a lot of risk and turbulence.

4) This placement of the 5th lord in the 12th house is the best placement for having a honeymoon (after marriage) in some foreign country as the 5th house is the house of love and romance and the 12th house represents the bedroom life such as the bedrooms in a hotel.

5) This placement of the 5th lord in the 12th house is also good for moving to a foreign country for education or to learn something in a foreign country as the 5th house is also the house of education and learning and 12th house represents the foreign countries.

For example, many people even move to a foreign country for a seminar or workshop or corporate meeting or sports or religious speeches or even for some auction and such kind of purposeful travel is also possible with this placement during the dasa or anterdasa of the 5th lord.

6) If the 5th lord Venus (for Capricorn ascendant) is placed in the sign of Sagittarius in the 12th house this placement could give some creative and artistic talent and with this placement people often move to a foreign country for arts, crafts, and painting exhibitions.

Venus is Sagittarius in the 12th house is good for a creative and artistic career as Venus is a planet of design and creativity. The 12th house is also an imaginative house as the sign of Pisces is the default sign on the 12th house and Pisces is an imaginative sign. This placement is great for wooden crafts as the sign of Sagittarius represents the trees and wood is obtained from the trees and Venus is a planet of creativity and design.

7) If the 5th lord is afflicted in the 12th house this could cause the death of the child of the native as the 12th house is also the house of exit from this world (death) and the 5th house represents the children. I saw the chart of a Sagittarius ascendant lady and her 5th lord Mars was placed in the 8th house in the sign of Scorpio and Mars was highly afflicted and this lady’s son died of suicide.

8) The 5th house is the house of speculation and the 12th house is the house of expenses and losses and so with this placement of > 5th lord in the 12th house heavy losses from speculation could come such as gambling, casinos, stock trading, currency trading, commodity trading, sports betting, etc. But this is only so if the 5th lord is placed in the 12th house in an afflicted state. 9) If the 5th lord Sun (for an Aries Ascendant) is placed in the 12th house in the sign of Pisces then with this placement the father of the native could also move to a foreign country and also the death of the father is also possible if Sun is afflicted in the 12th house.

This is because Sun represents the father in Vedic Astrology but if Sun is Matrikarka (MK) then Sun could also represent the mother as MK is mother in Vedic Astrology. Also, the 12th house is the 8th from the 5th house and anything 8th is death and so the 12th house is also the death of the 5th house. That is the reason the 5th lord in the 12th house is often not considered good.

10) Since the 12th house is 8th from the 5th house it is also a very risky placement when the 5th lord is placed in the 12th house. For example, pilots who die in an airplane crash or helicopter crash often have this placement. The reason being flying an airplane or helicopter is a recreational activity and the 5th house is also the house of recreational activity and the 12th house represents space.

But this is more so if the 5th lord Mars is placed in the sign of Scorpio in the 12th house as Scorpio is a very turbulent and risky sign and in accidents (such as helicopter crashes) also there is a lot of risk and turbulence. People who die during turbulent sports activities (such as car races or bike races) may also have this placement. People like fighter pilots may also have this placement as their life is also full of risk and emergency and Scorpio is also a sign of risk and emergency.

11) The 5th house is also the house of stage performances and the 12th house is the house of working from behind the scenes so people who are working from behind the scenes in stage performances and movies and TV serials such as playback singers, musicians, actors & actresses, film directors, cinematographers, graphic designing, digital designing, etc can also be seen from this placement.

The 5th lord Venus placed in the sign of Taurus in the 12th house (for Gemini ascendant) could be that kind of placement. This placement is also good for designing, artistic, and creative work as Venus is a planet of creativity and the 12th house is the house of imagination. Imaginative writers can also be seen from this placement especially if the ascendant lord Mercury is also placed in the 12th house along with Venus.

12) People who speak from behind the scenes such as the people who speak on behalf of the cartoon characters in cartoon films may also have this placement. The 5th lord Mercury (for a Taurus ascendant) placed in the sign of Aries in the 12th house is that kind of placement where you could speak from behind the scenes. People who speak in media may also have this placement as they also speak in the virtual world of media and the 12th house also represents the virtual world of films and movies and TV shows and media news. 13) If the 5th lord is placed in an afflicted state in the 12th house, then education could also become difficult, and getting a degree may not be possible as the 12th house is the death of the 5th house (of education) as 12th house is 8th from the 5th house and anything 8th is nothing but death.

14) If the 5th lord Mars (for a Cancer ascendant) is placed in the sign of Gemini in the 12th house this placement is also good for virtual marketing and virtual communication as the 12th house is a virtual house and 5th house is the house of name and fame (promotion) as Sun is the default ruler of the 5th house and Sun is a planet of name and fame (promotion).

Internet marketing or digital marketing is nothing but virtual marketing and so people involved in virtual marketing and virtual communication may have this placement. When you speak in media from behind the scenes this is nothing but virtual communication and also Mars is placed in the sign of Gemini which is a sign of communication and marketing & advertising.

15) If the 5th lord and the 8th lord Jupiter (for Leo ascendant) is placed in the sign of Cancer (exalted Jupiter) in the 12th house this placement is good for working with virtual storage systems such as the servers, web hosting, hard disc drives, cloud storage, etc. This is because Cancer (or Moon) is a sign of storage and the 12th house is a virtual house.

Many people even make designs of homes and other shelters (such as roads, bridges, tunnels, etc) in the virtual world of computers, such as architects or civil engineers, and they may also have this placement.
