Sign of Capricorn in the 9th house. What does it mean? (Vedic Astrology)

Several predictions could be made when the sign of Capricorn falls on the 9th house for a Taurus ascendant and here are some of them.

1) The 9th house is the house of exploration and the sign of Capricorn (or Saturn) represents all the dark and black things such as oil, coal, petroleum, iron, steel, machinery, tools, equipment, and charcoal. If Sun is light then Saturn (Capricorn) is darkness and both these planets are just opposite in nature and so cannot go along with each other.

If Moon is placed in the sign of Capricorn in the 9th house along with the 8th lord Jupiter and if the 9th lord Saturn is placed in the sign of Sagittarius in the 8th house this placement becomes good for people who are into oil exploration and mining. Since Saturn is a dark planet so it also represents all the natural resources we obtain from mining as there is darkness underground and mining is done underground. Moon represents all the liquids whether it is oil or water or drinks or even wine.

Saturn placed in the 8th house is often good when you dig out something from under the ground and mining & oil exploration are also underground processes. The 8th house is a hidden house and so it also represents all things that are hidden and things (such as the natural resources) buried under the ground are also hidden.

Moon represents the liquid and Capricorn is a sign of darkness and so it becomes dark liquid when Moon is placed in the sign of Capricorn and dark liquid is nothing but the oil extracted from under the ground such as petroleum (crude oil) via mining. When Saturn is placed in the 8th house this is also good for digging (or extracting) and demolition. I saw the birth chart of a person who is taking construction projects from the government for the demolition of properties and building something new and he also has his Saturn placed in the 8th house in the sign of Sagittarius in Moola Nakshatra.

Saturn in Scorpio is also good for digging as Scorpio and the 8th house are just the same things as Scorpio is the natural ruler of the 8th house in the default zodiac.

2) I also saw the birth chart of a person who is working as an engineer for a petroleum company in Saudi Arabia but he is an Indian and he is a Taurus ascendant with the 9th lord Saturn placed in the sign of Virgo in the 5th house. Saudi Arabia is well known as an oil-producing country and he got the job in Saudi Arabia exactly when his 9th lord Saturn dasa started.

When the 9th lord is placed in the 5th house this is the placement for moving to a foreign country as the 5th house is 9th from the 9th house and so it is the higher self of the 9th house (according to the Bhavat Bhavam concept in Vedic Astrology) and 9th house is also the house of long-distance journeys.

So, the 9th lord is an important indication of foreign travel and foreign settlement. But his ascendant lord Venus is also placed in the sign of Aries in the 12th house of foreign countries and Aries is also a sign that represents fuel and oil is also a fuel and he is an oil engineer.

I also saw the birth chart of a person who is running a petrol pump in some village in the state of Rajasthan in India and he is also a Taurus ascendant with the 8th lord Jupiter placed in the sign of Capricorn in the 9th house with Rahu in the 8th house. So, this could also mean (as I just mentioned) when the sign of Capricorn falls on the 9th house for a Taurus ascendant.

4) The 9th house is the house of long-distance journeys and when the 9th lord Saturn is placed in the sign of Cancer in the 3rd house your long-distance journey could be related to the advertising and marketing of home-based products such as the home appliances, home furniture, utensils, etc.

But Saturn is a planet of automation (technology) and Cancer is a sign of home, food, shelters, clothing, etc and so your long-distance journey could also be related to home automation products, food processing machines, cloth manufacturing machines, carpentry tools, home cleaning equipment, laundry equipment, water tanks, medical equipment, pharma manufacturing machines, etc. This is because represents all the machinery, tools, and equipment as Saturn is a planet of automation and machines automate the work.

For example, many people travel a lot (to different cities or different countries) to market their business products and they may have this placement. Also, many people are selling such home-based automation products online via e-commerce websites and they may also have this placement.

But since Saturn also rules the 10th house of automation for a Taurus ascendant so engineering or servicing of home-based electronics products is also possible with this placement.

5) If the 9th lord Saturn is placed in the sign of Leo in the 4th house, then the native could make a long-distance journey for fun & entertainment technology as Leo is a sign of fun and entertainment and Saturn is a planet of technology and tools. Musical instruments are good examples of fun & entertainment technology.

So, with this placement, the native could even import or sell online > musical instruments. Many people are importing musical instruments from different other countries and selling in their own country and they often have this placement but only if other planets in the birth chart are supportive of that. Teachers and players of musical instruments (Musicians) may also have this placement.
