How to cure or develop Muladhara Chakra through Sahaja Yoga?

Home : Religion and Spirituality: You are here

Shri Mataji and Muladhara Chakra
Plz note: The information below presented is from different lectures of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi (Mother), founder of Sahaja Yoga. If you are not aware > Sahaja Yoga is a spiritual organization spreading peace, harmony and good health (through meditation) all over the world through the awakening of kundalini power located inside every human being in the dormant state.

If you are a Sahaja Yogi (follower of Sahaja Yoga) and want to cure or clear your afflicted Mooladhara Chakra then it can be done using a candle flame. First of all, the photograph of the mother should be placed at some height in front of you. Don't put the photograph on the ground level where you are seated (during the time of meditation). While you are seated on the ground level the photograph should be exactly in front of you at the level of your face or head or above that.

Now take two thick and big candles and lit them up. Remember, the candles should be such that the flames have good magnitude and intensity. Put one lited candle in front of the mother's photograph and the other candle at your back (on the ground level) near your sacral curve (and back of the backbone). If you don't understand sacral curve then look at the picture on this Wikipedia page and the sacral curve is clearly mentioned on the picture of the human body.

First of all, take Bandhan and raise your kundalini shakti. Once this is done take the three (four infect as below) Maha Mantras as mentioned in Sahaja Yoga by placing your both hands towards the photograph with palms open in the upward direction.

If you are from some foreign country (other than India) and don't know about the three Maha Mantras you can watch and listen to this youtube video which starts from the four Maha Mantras. Every time you sit for meditation (in Sahaja Yoga) these four Maha Mantras (as below) have to be taken as the protocol.

1) Aum Tvmev Shakshat Shri Maha Laxmi, Maha Saraswati, Maha Kali Trigunatmika Kundalini Shakshat Shree Adi Shakti Mataji Shree Nirmala Devi Namo Nama

2) Aum Tvmev Shakshat Shree Kalki Shakshat Shree Adi Shakti Mataji Shri Nirmala Devi Namo Nama.

3) Aum Tvmev Shakshat Shree Kalki Shakshat Shri Sahastrara Swamini Moksh Pradayani Mataji Shri Nirmala Devi Namo Nama.

4) Aum Tvmev Shakshat Shree Ganesh Shakshat Shri Adi Shakti Mataji Shri Nirmala Devi Namo Nama.

Even if you cannot speak these three Maha Mantras just listen to them in the video. Once you are done with the Maha Mantras > raise your left hand and place it in front of the mother's photograph with palm open and in the upward direction. Put your right hand on the mother earth with palm touching and facing the mother earth. Keep the lited candles in the positions as already mentioned above in the 2nd paragraph. Now read or say the 'Ganesh Atharvasheersham' or just listen to it as recorded in this youtube video.

Shri Ganesha is the deity who controls the Muladhara Chakra and 'Ganesh Atharvasheersham' is the prayer to please Shri Ganesha. That is the reason we need to say this prayer to clear our Muladhara Chakra. Instead of saying the whole prayer (if it is difficult for you to remember) you can also make use of the 4th Mantra in the 4 Maha Mantras mentioned above as the 4th Mantra is for Shri Ganesha but you need to repeat it and keep saying for at least 10-20 minutes every day depending on the severity of your catch in the Muladhara Chakra. Also, it should be done at least 2-3 times a day if not more.

Ganesh Atharvasheersham (along with candle treatment) can also be done at least 2-3 times a day but it may take months or years till your Muladhara Chakra is fully alright and so you need to be patient. Also, you need to meditate after praying Shri Ganesha. Its mostly the catch in the Muladhara and Swadisthana Chakra because of which we don't feel the cool vibrations flowing from our hands and top corner of the head. Once the chakras will get clear (day by day) you will be able to feel the vibrations and your meditation will also get better. By regular practice all the chakras will keep developing.

Plz Note: You also need to follow a chaste life in order to improve your Muladhara Chakra other than doing the candle flame treatment as mentioned above. Chaste life doesn't mean you have to leave the home and be a hermit. Just read more here.

You should also visit your nearby Sahaja Yoga Center to learn more about Sahaja Yoga and its protocols. Sahaja Yoga Centers are located in all major cities of the world and in India it is practiced not only in bigger cities but also in almost all the villages of India.
