2nd lord Sun in 7th house - Can Father interfere in marriage?(Vedic Astrology)

Since Sun rules your 2nd house and Sun represents the father in Vedic Astrology it means your father could create a problem in your marriage. This is because here Sun is placed in the 7th house of relationships and marriage and Sun is considered debilitated in the sign of Libra (or 7th house). Sun is debilitated in the 7th house because Saturn is exalted in the 7th house. Where Sun is exalted you will find Saturn debilitated there and vice versa.

Sun is king and cannot become a merchant to do business (which the sign of Libra represents) as Sun is meant for the throne. That is the reason Sun doesn't do well in the 7th house and creates an ego in the relationships. With this placement of Sun, for a Cancer Ascendant, either the father will interfere in your marriage (whom you should marry or whom not) and if you already got married there will be a constant battle between you and your spouse and the reason for this will still be your father or father-in-law for your spouse.

It may be your spouse cannot go along with your father or you yourself cannot go along with your father and your spouse respect him a lot. You expect your spouse not to engage too much with your father but she still does the same thing and that causes the relationship problem. If the lord of 7th house > Saturn > is placed in the 6th house it could even cause a divorce. This is because 6th house is 12th from the 7th house and anything 12th is the loss. So, when 7th house is the house of relationships then 6th house is the house of loss of relationships or divorce. But the confirmation in the Navamsa chart is also needed for the divorce.

In the Navamsa Chart if 7th house lord is placed in the 2nd house then the divorce could happen unless there is an aspect from Jupiter to the 2nd house or the 7th house or if Jupiter is doing the same thing in the birth chart. I mean if Jupiter is aspecting the 7th house or seated in the 7th house or even if aspecting the 6th house or seated in the 6th house in the birth chart then this could also prevent the divorce.

Also, if Saturn is placed in the 7th house along with Sun then your father will not be an issue for you, as when a planet is sitting in its own house or sign it protects that house.

Capricorn is a very strict sign and Sun is your personality and Sun is also your soul. So when Sun is placed in the sign of Capricorn you become very strict by nature (by soul) and your father could be the same as Sun also represents the father. People who are in politics or doing government jobs mostly have this kind of Sun placement in the sign of Capricorn. But here the father becomes very strict in relationships and business deals. He doesn't make deals with just anyone and very selective. The father could also interfere in your business deals if you are in business with this kind of placement of Sun (in the 7th house).

In many cases, the father has not allowed their son or daughter to go for love marriage or marriage with someone of different caste with this placement of Sun.
