What is the meaning of Leo sign on the 9th house? (Vedic Astrology)

Being a Sagittarius ascendant, when the sign of Leo falls on the 9th house it gives you an image of someone who is a lawmaker or a Guru or a teacher or even a philosopher depending on the location of Sun, lord of Leo, and Jupiter (default ruler of 9th house) in the birth chart as 9th house is the house of law, rules, regulations, policies, principles, philosophy and religion.

Your identity will remain as someone who is a lawmaker (due to Leo sign on 9th house) but now it depends on where you are applying these laws and principles. If Sun is placed in the sign of Virgo in the 10th house then you can implement or work with rules and regulations in the field of health care as Virgo is a sign of health care.

You could be a research scientist in the field of health care with this placement as even in science you need to work with laws and principles such as you might have read about Newton's law in physics. Similarly, when you read the subject like biology or chemistry all the knowledge, information, principles, laws in the subject of biology and chemistry are nothing but the representation of the sign of Sagittarius.

If 9th lord Sun is placed in the sign of Libra then your policies, rules, and regulations could be related to resolving disputes as Libra is a sign of resolving disputes and conflicts. Lawyers, judges, meditators, and police officers are good examples of that.

Also, there are people who are into research and investigation such as those who are into crime investigation. When you investigate something you are trying to find the truth and truth and honesty again are represented by the sign of Sagittarius as Guru has to implement law and order and punish the culprits who are not following the law. Such people usually have their 9th house lord Sun placed in the sign of Scorpio in the 12th house as Scorpio is a very secretive and investigative sign. Also, there are people who are working in laboratories in the field of science and health care and also as forensic experts and such people may also have their 9th lord, Sun, placed in the 12th house in the sign of Scorpio.

You might have also seen priests and other people who carry out religious activities in temples, churches, sacred places, etc and such people may also have the image of a Sagittarius Ascendant with the 9th house lord, Sun, placed in the sign of Sagittarius in the 1st house as all religious activities are again representation of the sign of Sagittarius. Now when a Sagittarius Ascendant applies or implements the rules and principles in making machines (including things like machine learning and artificial intelligence) then their 9th house lord Sun could be placed in the sign of Capricorn in the 2nd house.

Also, Capricorn is a sign that represents musical instruments and Sun is fun and entertainment and so a Sagittarius Ascendant could also apply their principles and knowledge in playing musical instruments. Unless you know Sa Re Ga Ma.... you cannot play certain instruments such as harmonium. So teachers or gurus of musical instruments may also have this kind of placement of Sun in the sign of Capricorn in the 2nd house while ruling the 9th house.

You might have also seen people working on satellites as aerospace engineers but you know about the principles and laws related to science and technology in order to become an aerospace engineer or any other type of engineer where networking is required such as telecom engineers. All these laws and principles in the field of science and technology are nothing but the representation of the sign of Sagittarius. Such engineers may have their 9th lord, Sun, placed in the sign of Aquarius in the 3rd house.

People working in the field of IT (information technology) may also have this placement such as computer network engineers as Aquarius is a sign of networking and social welfare. People into recruitment may also have this placement as Aquarius is also a sign that represents the employees in a company as Aquarius represents the masses or the public.

When you do astrology, numerology, tarot card reading, palmistry, and other occult science then in these fields also there are certain principles required to understand the concept of this hidden knowledge and a Sagittarius Ascendant may have their 9th lord, Sun, placed in the sign of Pisces in the 4th house for such professions to happen for them. A policeman can be a Guru as after all he is asking people to follow the law and scolding them or charging them for not following the law and a Guru is certainly associated with the law.

But how come a Guru's (or a Sagittarius ascendant's) identity (Leo sign on the 9th house) comes as a sportsman when Sun is placed in the sign of Aries in the 5th house? What sports have to do with law and principles? This is because when you play sports you need to use your thighs to run and thighs are again represented by the sign of Sagittarius or the 9th house. So 9th house is not only associated with Law and principles but it is also associated with thighs or indirectly sports. That is the reason Jupiter is a sportsman also. A Guru can also be a cook because cooking is also a religious activity (Dharma) as in temples and at sacred places, food is served to the needy people.

You might have seen people who are fund managers and financial advisors and even bank managers who are dealing with all the rules and regulations related to finances of a company or the finances of the public and such people's identity can also come as a Guru (Sagittarius Ascendant) as Jupiter (Guru) represents the treasure and they may have the placement of 9th lord Sun in the 6th house in the sign of Taurus as Taurus is a sign of wealth management and it also represents financial assets. Also, digital artists may also have this placement especially if 7th house lord, Mercury, is placed in the sign of Leo in the 9th house.

When a Guru (Sagittarius Ascendant) starts giving the knowledge and information through media such as TV and internet then the 9th lord, Sun, could be placed in the 7th house in the sign of Gemini. You might have seen many Gurus and occult science specialists are active on youtube and sharing their knowledge. They also may run websites through this placement as Gemini is a sign of marketing and advertising and media is the biggest source of marketing and advertising. Digital marketing experts can also be seen from this placement as Gemini is a sign that represents communication and marketing and advertising.

But the thing is a Guru could also be a doctor or a nurse (health care specialist in general) as Guru's job is to do good something good for the humanity and that is also done through curing people of their diseases and in this case, 9th lord Sun could be placed in the 12th house in the sign of Cancer as Cancer is a sign of nurturing and 8th house is the house of going to the roots. When a doctor does a surgery he goes to the roots.

9th house is basically a house of higher knowledge and learned people like doctors cannot become doctors unless they have that higher knowledge (MBBS or other higher degree). On the other hand, 3rd house is not the higher knowledge but it is the house of marketing through communication. This was just to make understand the concept behind what it could mean when the sign of Leo falls on the 9th house. But there are many other professions possible for each placement of Sun in a particular house for a Sagittarius Ascendant depending on the location of other planets in the birth chart. I just gave the basic idea what each placement of Sun can produce.
